Build an agricultural product record: fertilisers, organic and EUDR

Three profiles in one pack: EU fertilising products, organic products and deforestation-free commodities.

DPP Shield editorial team · Updated:

DPP Shield's agriculture pack combines three profiles, selected by product type and flags: EU fertilising products under Regulation (EU) 2019/1009, organic products under Regulation (EU) 2018/848 and commodities within the EU Deforestation Regulation. Each profile checks its own data.

What applies today

CE-marked EU fertilising products need their product function category, component material categories and an EU declaration of conformity. Organic products must show the code of their control body and hold a valid certificate. Relevant commodities within the EU Deforestation Regulation need a due-diligence statement and the geolocation of the plots of production; the pack treats that regulation as applying from 30 December 2026 (30 June 2027 for micro and small operators).

What the pack checks

DPP Shield validates a passport against the bundled EU-AGRI pack, which is a draft readiness pack, plus the ESPR core checks every category shares: identifiers, the economic operator, the data carrier, substances of concern and passport availability. Required findings block publication; findings to check are flagged for review. Each finding in the console names its rule and source.

Required - blocks publication

  • For CE-marked fertilising products: the product function category (PFC), the component material categories (CMC) and the EU declaration of conformity.
  • For organic products: the control body code and a valid organic certificate.

What it flags for review

These do not block publication, but resolve each one before the passport goes public.

Check - flagged for review

  • Manufacturer identity.
  • For EUDR commodities: the due-diligence statement reference and the geolocation of the plots of production.

Evidence to collect

Attach these in Documents and link them to the passport, or request them from suppliers.

Typical evidence

  • The EU declaration of conformity for fertilising products.
  • Organic certificates and the control body details.
  • EUDR due-diligence statement references and plot geolocation data.
  • Nutrient analyses (N, P₂O₅, K₂O).

Build the passport step by step

  1. Create the product with the category Agriculture - in Products, by CSV import or from a connected store.
  2. Open DPPs and choose Create passport: the form shows the agriculture fields together with the shared blocks (identifiers, manufacturer, materials, substances of concern, data carrier and passport availability).
  3. Choose the product type and set the flags that apply: CE-marked, organic, EUDR commodity.
  4. Record the country and date of production.
  5. Add the digital label link for fertilising products if you use one.
  6. Attach the evidence in Documents and send supplier requests for anything you cannot support yourself.
  7. Run Validate EU and work through the findings until no required finding is left.
  8. Preview the public page, redact commercially sensitive fields, then publish.

Before you publish

Because the bundled packs are drafts, publishing needs an accountable override approved by a second owner or administrator until your platform operator activates a legally reviewed pack. The readiness score is not a legal assessment: confirm the obligations that apply to your product with your compliance adviser.

The three profiles share one category today; treat each as its own checklist, and confirm which rules apply to your product before relying on the result.
